Poems by Lonely Men
Fish?
As I sit here, I watch the birds go by,
Oh they fly so high.
But as you know, I sit here alone, on my own
As I sit here, and look at the screen,
I realise this is not a dream.
For as you know, I sit here alone, on my own
As I sit here, and wait for a task,
I open my flask.
For as you know, I sit here alone, on my own
As I sit here, and think to myself,
I discover that I am by myself.
For as you know, I sit here alone, on my own.
As I sit here, and write you this,
I think of the fish.
That are all together, not alone, and not on their own.
Oh how I wish I was one of those fish.
